Zoo, Trivandrum V/S Bangalore.

Zoo is a place where people of all age group will like to visit at any time, especially the children, they love to see the animals in face, which they have familiar through the television channels only. I have visited a number of such places during my babyhood and even now also.... of that the two Zoo fascinated me a lot are that of Trivandrum and Bennarghatta, Bengalooru. 

Hippo and Calf a rare seen

Both of these are rich with its animals; plenty of them that we cannot see in regular life are here. We go to zoo to see the type of animals that we cannot see in our regular life,not to see goat and cow. 


Both these zoo are different because they have adopted the living culture of the animals also; the environment of most of the animals where they live are artificially created here as it is naturally available. But in the case of some animals like Bear, Monkeys, Lion and Cheetah, this huge cage was failure that we have to really search for the animals in these cages.


both the zoo are of a vast area say some acres, but the Bennarghatta zoo has gone a little more advanced, they have arranged a safari through the jungle also where the animals live like naturally they are, all of them are in jungle but separated with metal fence to avoid them attacking each other, 
we were traveling in a fully secured bus where the wind glasses even covered with strong metal mesh which allows the passenger to see through, but are strong against the animal attack.


The charges we may feel little expensive but the pleasure of watching the animals so near to you is splendid, here we are in side the cage and the animals are out of it.

 The main attraction of trivandrum zoo is its collection of birds, they have a variety collection of national and inter national birds for the visitors.The fish eater pelican is a must watch item here.

Poor Hen in its Last hours

The cages of snakes and crocodile  are  dirty with some awkward smell as usual, the cleanliness of snake cage  was comparatively better in Trivandrum but the arrangement was better of Bennarghatta. This video i had captured there of two King Kobras, which were started moving when i whistled...
 The exhibition of a hen as food kept for the large python in Trivandrum zoo was an avoidable seen i felt..As far as my concern..
